BROADCAST VIDEO YC TO YPrPb CONVERTER

The TTR100 is a compact high quality YC to YPrPb converter, designed for ease of use and installation. It is available in a variety of configurations. The unit accepts YC (ie S-VHS or Hi-8) signals and processes them separately to produce YPrPb (i.e. Y,R-Y, B-Y or YUV) signals. The YPrPb outputs are clamped. The unit is available in both PAL and NTSC versions.

A typical application of the TTR100 is the conversion of inserts from S-VHS or Hi-8 VTRs when preparing or editing material in, for example, the Betacam format.

With YC signals, the colour transients tend to be "soft" because of the low chrominance bandwidth. The TTR100 includes circuitry to detect these transients and apply a correction, in order to maintain good colour difference (PrPb) rise times.

The TTR100 is available as a Eurocard. It can be housed in a portable case or in a 19" 1U rack unit which can accommodate up to four cards. The on-board power supply includes rectifiers and regulators allowing the power input to be either ac or dc.
